Achieving academic levels set by JCU
The University sets a level of academic achievement which students must meet annually. Students who do not meet that standard will be required to ‘show cause’ why they should be allowed to re-enrol. The rules relating to re-enrolment are listed under the Academic Progression Policy.
Students will be advised of their need to ‘show cause’ by mail on the official release date (see important dates) of Study Period 2 and Study Period 2 Supplementary/Deferred subject results. Applications must be submitted within 25 days (Study Period results) and 14 days (supplementary/deferred) of the date on the notification letter to the student.
Students will not have their enrolment officially confirmed until the result of the show cause application is known.
