Changing personal details

Changing your address

While most official JCU communication is sent to your JCU email address, any hard-copy correspondence from JCU will be sent to the address you have nominated as your preferred mailing address in eStudent. It is essential that you maintain correct address and telephone details with JCU so we can contact you or mail any correspondence correctly. You can change your addresses and telephone number by logging into eStudent and clicking on My Details. Click on the appropriate submenu and follow the steps on screen to modify your details. JCU requires you to provide:

  • Maintain your permanent home residential address,

  • Provide your semester residential address,

  • Nominate your preferred mailing address, and

  • Provide the name, phone and address details of your nominated emergency contact person.

Note: As a visa requirement, international students are required to provide a semester residential address within seven days of arrival.

You can update your address details at anytime, and you can choose a different address type for your preferred mailing address. You can also nominate a temporary preferred mailing address (which will be used instead of your regular preferred mailing address) for a specified date period, for example if you go on holidays or take a break from study.
