Commonwealth Supported Places

Postgraduate Coursework Courses

JCU is now offering Commonwealth supported places in over 40 postgraduate coursework programs in areas of national significance.

Continuing postgraduate coursework students who have been enrolled as domestic tuition fee students in one of these courses have the option of transferring to a Commonwealth supported (HECS) place, if they are eligible. Click here for information on Commonwealth supported places and eligibility for a Commonwealth supported place.

Please be aware that Student Contribution amounts are not a tax deductible expense. For some students, where their study is related to their paid employment, domestic tuition fees can be treated as a tax deductible expense. The University is unable to provide taxation advice to students, so students may wish to consult with their accountant or financial adviser regarding this decision.
