International Students’ Tuition Fees

Information about amounts owing to JCU (applicable to students required to pay fees) is available online through eStudent.

Please note that JCU does NOT mail out invoices. It is your responsibility to check eStudent for amounts owing.

You can generate a Fee Statement through the eStudent link which will be emailed to your JCU email address.

All international students who are not sponsored are required pay their tuition fees in full by the census date of the subject.

Failure to do so may result in cancellation of your enrolment in that subject and DIAC will be notified.
It is very important that you check your enrolment BEFORE census dates. Subject withdrawals must be made by the student in eStudent by the census date. To add a subject you must notify JCU in writing by the close of business on the census date or the last working day before the census date.

If a continuing student has paid tuition fees for a subject and has withdrawn by the relevant census date, the tuition fees will be refunded.

International Research Fees

Annual course fees for International Research students are based on full-time full-year enrolment. Tuition fees are charged pro-rata of the annual course fee, based on the period of enrolment and the study rate (full time or part time) in each half year. The period of enrolment begins on the thesis subject start date and ends on the submission date.

Where a student started before the implementation of Student One, and the thesis subject start date does not match the fee paid in the first enrolment period, an adjustment will be made in the final enrolment period to ensure the correct fees are charged for the course.

Students who fast-track a research degree may be liable for the total fee for the course as quoted on the Offer of Placement.
