The PSA is a unique division of the JCU Student Association and the representative body for postgraduate students. It represents the interests and rights of the postgraduates.
The JCUPSA aims to:
- provide the best possible support for all postgraduates;
- to identify areas of disadvantage and inequity in policy and procedures which impact on all postgraduates,
- and advocate for changes to such policy and procedures through postgraduate representation on University committees,
- to encourage, foster, facilitate and support the inclusion and participation of postgraduates in all areas of University life
The PSA has its own Management Committee of elected Postgraduate Students including International, Remote Women's, Indigenous and Faculty representatives.
Meetings are open to all Postgraduate students, and provide a forum to discuss ideas, issues and concern, and to stay informed on Postgraduate matters.
The PSA employs one staff member on a permanent basis, to oversee the activities of the PSA.
