Student Parents
Being a tertiary student AND a parent means that you have to be twice as organised. It also helps to have some family support. If all else fails its nice to know that when things go wrong (and they may!) that your Student Association is here to help. These pages contain helpful information especially for student parents.
Association Services Fee
When students enrol at JCU they pay an Association Services Fee, which entitles you to universal access to Student Association services and facilities. This fee provides students with access to services and facilities that the University is either not prepared to or not capable of providing. It is important to ensure you seek out the services and facilities on offer.

Care is made available to children from all sections of the community in accordance with the Governments priority of access guidelines.
Childcre Benefit is also available at the Centre, enabling parents to secure quality care for their children at a reasonable cost. The Student Association provides a subsidy for students children attending the centre.
Demand for care at the Centre is such that there may be a waiting list for children requiring care. Book your child in if you think you may need this service now or in the future.
