Referencing a Book

Book Books are usually the easiest things to reference. Just remember that the author goes first, followed by the year, title, place published and publisher. When there are two authors, use an ampersand (&) to separate the last author. The title should be underlined or typed in italics.

This is how you reference a book:

Author, A. A., Author, B. B. & Author, C. C. (year of publication). Title of book: Subtitle. (Edition [if
not first]). Place of publication: Publisher.

In the space provided below try referencing the following book as it should appear in a bibliography or reference list:

Author: R Gilbert and P Gilbert
Title: Masculinity goes to school
Place of Pub: St Leonards, N.S.W.
Publisher: Allen and Unwin
Year: 1998
