History

In 2007 under the direction of the Vice Chancellors Advisory Committee on Environmental Management of University Sites, a project was commenced to collate and document the biodiversity (flora and fauna) at the Douglas, Smithfield and other University sites.

Funding was received to develop a website; and under the direction of Associate Professor Betsy Jackes, with assistance from the Environmental Management Coordinator (Lania Lynch), species lists and photos were compiled from both academic and professional staff, students and the community.
