JCU Research Stations

Fletcherview Research Station
Charters Towers

Fletcherview is a working cattle station located 98 km southwest of Townsville. It is used for beef cattle production and reproduction research. JCU's Australian Institute of Tropical Veterinary and Animal Science regularly uses the facilities. The station incorporates laboratory facilities and accommodation.

Fletcherview is also used by reserachers from the Schools of: Tropical Biology; Earth Sciences; and Tropical Environment Studies and Geography.
