An opportunity to be a Student Mentor in 2016

Student Mentors meet new students, their mentees, in Orientation Week (either Monday 15 or Tuesday 16 February 2016) and support them as they transition to university life. Mentors meet with their mentees again in either Week 1 or Week 2, and then keep in touch with them throughout their first Study Period to check on their progress and to help them settle into their studies.

Being a mentor is a great opportunity to help new students and to develop communication and leadership skills. To be a mentor you will need a positive attitude, a willingness to help your fellow students, and a reference from an academic staff member. You should be conscientious in your studies and achieving good grades in all your subjects.

To be a Mentor, you must be able to participate in Mentor Training (Friday 12 February) and the Welcome for your course.
