Join us for an evening of discussion, debate, music, art and science as James Cook University researchers Kate Miller, Tasmin Rymer, Ernest Jennings and Alan Nimmo delve into the science of our minds.

Find out about parasites that live in our brain, the extraordinary behaviour of rodents, our perception of pain and what is the cause of “man flu” and what JCU researchers are doing to help people survive brain injuries.

Interact with Brainwave, an interactive art piece created by JCU artist Russell Milledge and his team and listen to amazing music and an inspiring story from Indigenous artist, singer-songwriter Naomi Wenitong.

This Inspiring Australia event is supported by the Australian Government as part of National Science Week and co-hosted by James Cook University and the Tanks Arts Centre.
