Inaugural Australasian Mental Health and Higher Education Conference

We are now calling for abstracts for the Inaugural Australasian Mental Health and Higher Education Conference, taking place June 30 – July 1 2017 at James Cook University Townsville, Queensland.

With 75% of mental health difficulties emerging before the age of 25, we have convened this conference to promote discussion into the nature, responses, support, and potential future directions for addressing mental health in higher education. 

Our conference is open to students, staff, researchers, policy makers, educators and practitioners working in the higher education mental health space.

We are accepting submissions under the following five themes:

Theme One: Community Links and Transitions

Theme Two: Well-being and Lived Experience

Theme Three: Mental Health Research

Theme Four: Policy and Institutional Response

Theme Five: Ways Forward
