International agents from around the world spent 5 days in Townsville and Cairns as a part of the annual International Partner Familiarisation Program in late August.
Agents from 11 countries met with staff and students to learn about JCU, and had the opportunity to explore the region.
Agents advise international students on undergraduate and postgraduate courses and assist students to apply to University.
The Future Students and International team would like to thank those who were involved and helped make the program a success.
Participating agents have provided feedback about the program:
“Seeing the facilities at both campuses was valuable. Also, having time to talk to the various academics who were so approachable and friendly was so great and helpful. It really demonstrated how students could thrive being able to learn alongside such inspirational people."
“The event overall was well organised, the program gave me firsthand experience and learn a lot about the program, facilities and campus location.”
“My visit definitely built a strong connection and gave me a clearer picture on what students can expect. I am now very confident in being able to deliver what studying at JCU is like.”
“I thought the week was a huge success. I learnt so much and now I just want to be a student at JCU!”
The JCU, Cairns and Townsville, International Partner Familiarisation Program is designed to strengthen or establish participants’ understanding of JCU and the student experience.
JCU will host agents for the International Partner Familiarisation Program again in 2017.
