@JCU Invitation to Research Training Program Information Session Townsville
From 1 January 2017, the new Research Training Program (RTP) government funding arrangements will replace the Australian Postgraduate Awards (APA), International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS) and the Research Training Scheme (RTS).
Distinguished Professor Helene Marsh, Dean, Graduate Research, will be presenting an information and Q&A session on the new Research Training funding arrangements, and what the changes will mean for continuing Higher Degree by Research (HDR) Candidates.
All HDR Candidates and staff are invited and encouraged to attend to be informed and ask any questions that you may have.
In the interim more information can be found at: https://www.education.gov.au/research-training-program-frequently-asked-questions-students
Please note that the bottom line is that there is no change in real terms to the candidature, rights and scholarship of continuing HDR Candidates. The change is simply a consequence of new legislation. After the information sessions have been held by Professor Marsh, a more formal notification will be sent to all continuing HDR Candidates.
When: Monday 5 December, 11:30am – 12:30pm
No RSVP required.
