JCU graduate recognised for contribution to rural health
JCU graduate Dr Sarah Farlow has been named the 2015 Rural Registrar of the Year by the Rural Doctors Association of Australia (RDAA) and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM).
Dr Farlow studied at JCU Townsville before carrying out placements in Atherton, Mareeba, Proserpine and Thursday Island in the Torres Strait.
Her last two years of medical school were spent at the Royal Darwin Hospital.
Now the Proserpine-raised doctor is working in Mount Isa doing her advanced diploma in obstetrics.
Dr Farlow shared the award with Dr Sarah Koffmann from Katherine in the Northern Territory.
