@JCU Looking for runners to participate in a study for PhD research

Looking for runners to participate in a running study for PhD research - chance to win Rebel Sport gift vouchers

I am looking for runners to participate in a running study for PhD which is assessing biomechanical and training characteristics as risk factors for running injuries.

The study requires you to do an 8 km run (just once) on the athletics track in Townsville with a small sensor attached to your low back, and then complete a simple and easy weekly training diary for up to one year depending on injury.

I am looking for runners, aged 18-65 years, who run on average 30 km per week or more at time of 8km run (it is ok for this mileage to fluctuate throughout the year as this is natural for a running cycle), have regularly been running for at least a year, and are injury free at time of the 8km run (niggles ok).

The 8km run can be organised around your training schedule.

At the end of the study you will get the results of the study, as well as your individual results and go into the draw to win Rebel Sports vouchers.

If you are interested you can contact me through at  sara.winter@jcu.edu.au

Thanks and look forward to hearing from you.
