A new walking track has been constructed at the Townsville JCU campus allowing walkers to get some of the best views in Townsville. The track construction is a collaboration between JCU’s Discovery Rise, TropEco and Workways as part of the Work for the Dole program.

The track is the first part of the ‘Connections to Country’ walking track network planned for the JCU campus.

The track complements the myriad of mountain bike tracks in the hills behind campus as part of the Douglas Mountain Bike Reserve, making JCU a great place to exercise and get out in nature.

To access the start of the track go to the carpark indicated on the attached map - https://maps.jcu.edu.au/campus/townsville/?lat=-19.326731&lng=146.752082&txt=Free%20Parking
