Pecha Kucha Night Cairns - inspired by science, Wednesday 17th August, 2016, doors open and band starts 630pm. Cost is $6 per head, no bookings, just show up on the night!

Join us for Pecha Kucha, an entertaining evening covering a range of topics – 20 images x 20 seconds – dedicated to National Science Week at the Tanks and featuring James Cook University researchers, Tobin Northfield, Lori Lach, Denise Doolan, Alex Loukas, Russell Milledge and Robert Marat talking about worms, bees, solar energy, climate change and food security and interpreting science through art along with six amazing stories from members of the community and “Brainwave” interactive art piece created by JCU creative media researchers that interprets science knowledge through visual art and listen to live music by Jenna Minchin and her band from 630pm. 

This Inspiring Australia event is supported by the Australian Government as part of National Science Week and co-hosted by James Cook University and the Tanks Arts Centre.
