Pride in Diversity

In 2018 James Cook University is participating in a Pride Inclusion programme called Pride in Diversity. This program will assist and support JCU in promoting the inclusion of the Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) community and its members.

The key elements of the program relate to, among other things:

  • LGBTI Awareness
  • LGBTI Ally Training, and
  • Undertaking a JCU policy review

JCU has established an Ally Network, who are a group of staff and students who are committed to creating an inclusive and respectful culture at the University for LGBTI community members.  If you would like to become an Ally or an Out Role-Model please contact Kimberley Anderson, Student Equity and Wellbeing Project Officer at Kimberley.anderson@jcu.edu.au
