State medals for Townsville & JCU Rowers and upcoming learn-to-row courses

The Townsville and JCU Rowing Club has just returned from the 2017 Queensland Rowing Championships where they picked up a swag of medals. The Club also has an upcoming Learn to Row course for adults.

Five of the Townsville & JCU Rowing Club rowers had a great weekend at the Championships (held on January 21-22) at Wyaralong Dam near Beaudesert in South East Queensland. They wore the club’s 'navy with a gold V' zootie with pride and once again showed the rest of the state that the north produces top quality rowers!

Jordan Duff (pictured, above right, in navy), who is about to begin his Bachelor of Engineering degree at JCU, was one of the team that picked up several gongs.

(He is pictured with Bailey Wagstaff from the Griffith University Surfers Paradise Rowing Club).
