The Inaugural Celebration of the Chinese Moon Festival

The first ever Chinese Moon Festival Yum Cha was hosted for 30 Chinese students from JCU in Townsville last week. JCU invited Chinese students to share their personal student experience and to suggest improvements to encourage more Chinese students to study at JCU and in Townsville.

Students were asked questions over lunch by staff from the Future Students and International team. The discussion was led by Ms Lisa Cowan, Deputy Director and Dr Molly Yang, International Development and Relationship Manager, with assistance of three Chinese students, Yan, Ruping and Miranda.

The event was well-received and responses from the discussion will be used to enhance the study and living experience for Chinese students, and the wider international student community at JCU.
