Japanese Woodcut is a relief print made from carved wood blocks using water-based ink and printed by hand. Yvonne Hering studied Moku hanga for a number of years with two Japanese woodcut masters, Itaru Sano-sensei of Kyushu, and Richard Steiner of Kyoto. She delivers regular classes throughout the region.

The workshop will cover basics and introduce more advanced techniques. Participants will create a multi-colour print on Japanese paper. Materials and tools are supplied. Moku hanga is an ideal print medium for people who do not have a press. Fee $175 Inkmasters members - $205 non-members
