Legislation and Students with a Disability

Under the Disability Discrimination Act – Education Standards 2005 James Cook University is required to provide adjustments to allow people with a disability to take part in education. Adjustments, however, must be reasonable and must not be too hard for the education provider to implement.

For example: Inaccessible documents loaded onto LearnJCU may need to be reloaded in an accessible format for a student with a vision impairment.
