The JCU Mackay Student Residential College is situated in tropical gardens and consists of 32 fully air conditioned self-catering rooms available in 4 accommodation wings of 8 bedrooms, 3kms from the Mackay Base Hospital.

All rooms in The College are private. There is no shared or dormitory style accommodation. Rooms are fully furnished with king single bed, student desk & chair, bookcase, tub chairs and coffee table. Fully renovated in 2013 to increase room size, shared bathroom facilities, large shared kitchen and living areas with full kitchen facilities and new contemporary furnishings. Students are required to provide their own bedding (pillows, sheets, blankets, bedspread/doona). Students are not permitted to bring any personal furniture without prior permission from the Accommodation Manager.

JCU provides wireless internet services direct into the rooms at Griffin St through the eduroam system. Limited off street parking available for students in-residence.

The College grounds are designed to provide a relaxing and attractive environment for residents to enjoy. The accommodation is walking distance to the Mackay City Centre and major cultural, shopping and entertainment facilities.
