Education is a powerful gift. You can help create transformative experiences for students, researchers, and the communities they contribute to by supporting JCU with a financial donation.
We recognise that many people experience financial hardship at some point in their life. Contributing to JCU’s hardship fund enables us to keep students on track and studying so they can change their life for the better.
JCU’s experiential learning fund enables life-changing experiences for students. The fund provides grants to students coming to study at JCU, those undertaking a student exchange program and students undertaking placement or other activities. The fund provides students with an opportunity to gain critical skills for a global world of work and opportunities.
Your gift to JCU’s scholarship and grant programs can help students realise their dreams. Scholarships and grants can be established in your name, or that of a loved one, and create a powerful legacy.
Scholarships: are merit-based awards with various criteria that reflect the values and purpose of the donor. Students are required to apply for scholarships. Named scholarships can be established for three or more years for a minimum contribution of $5000 per annum. See all JCU's Student Scholarships.
Grants: are needs-based awards that assist with unforeseen hardships or specific planned activities such as travel, attending a conference or research activities. Students are required to apply for grants. Named grants can be established for three or more years for a minimum contribution of $1000 per annum.
Prizes: are awards given to a student for outstanding academic achievement in a particular class, field of study or discipline that reflects the donors values and purpose. No student application required. Named prizes can be established for three or more years for a minimum contribution of $500 per annum. See all JCU's Student Prizes.
