Cultural Awareness Program

This full-day Cultural Awareness Program gives participants an opportunity to raise their awareness and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, history, kinship systems and contemporary issues. Participants will experience the sharing of personal stories and be given an overview of the impacts of colonisation and the representation of significant historical events from an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspective.

The Cultural Awareness Program is for those who are interested in broadening their understanding of First Nations perspectives, the importance of maintaining cultural protocols and developing respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
