Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students are welcome in any computer laboratory. There area also labs at the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Centre, which you are also welcome to use.
The Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Centre is located in Building 30.
The Centre has an air-conditioned student computer laboratory located off the central courtyard (Room 30-008) with computers and a printer and photocopier. The lab is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You must have a current JCU student ID swipe card to access the lab outside of business hours, normally between 8pm and 5am.
The Indigenous Health Unit (IHU) in Building 41 also has a computer lab with printers and 24 hour access (Room 41-MU018). A wide selection of text books and learning aids are also available for students to borrow.
Townsville Indigenous Nursing and Midwifery students have access to a study room in Building 25, containing four computers, a printer and a set of text books. The room is located in the Nursing Centre (Room 25-248). Access is between the hours of 8.30am and 5.00pm. The room is in close proximity to Indigenous Nursing academic and lecturing staff.
Students have access to an air-conditioned computer lab in Building A26.
The Indigenous Health Unit (IHU) has a computer lab located on the ground floor of Building A2 (Room A2-019). The room provides two computers, a printer and a selection of text books. Access for all health students is between the hours of 8.30am and 5.00pm. The room is in close proximity to academic advisors and year coordinators, and a selection of prescribed text books are available.
