After you apply
We aim to inform you of our decision on your application as quickly as possible. In the meantime why not explore James Cook University and get a taste of what life as a student at JCU is like and what learning support is available for students.
If you applied through QTAC:
For most courses you can expect to receive an offer, if eligible, within 1-2 weeks after providing all supporting documentation. We encourage you to check your QTAC account regularly to track the progress of your application and to find out if you have been made an offer.
For high demand courses, the first round of offers will usually be in the January major offer round after all assessment has been completed.
If you applied direct to JCU:
Once we have received all of your supporting documentation, you can usually expect to be notified of our decision within 3 weeks.
If you change your mind about the course you have applied for at any point in the admission process, please let us know as soon as you can.
