Careers and Employment for Learning and Teaching

In 2016, JCU established a Curriculum Framework that identifies Career Development, Employability and Entrepreneurship as one of six curriculum enhancement priority areas. The intent of this priority area is to enhance the employment and lifelong learning outcomes of JCU graduates as per the Higher Education Standards Framework.

JCU Careers and Employment and the Career Development Learning Designer support the six JCU Colleges in the implementation of this priority area.

A range of services, programs and resources are available to embed Career Development, Employability and Entrepreneurial learning and teaching within curriculum.

JCU supports academic teaching staff to seamlessly integrate and scaffold career development, employability and entrepreneurship in curriculum, as per the JCU Curriculum Framework. Our evidence-based, innovative approaches to curriculum design enhance the JCU student experience and graduate outcomes. JCU students are supported to develop and assure the knowledge, skills, attributes and dispositions that will enable them to navigate satisfying, enduring and successful careers.
