James Cook University lecturers and researchers are working with teachers from the Queensland Department of Education to make up-to-date, engaging materials available to anyone teaching the secondary school marine science curriculum or to people who want an introduction to this area of study.

The first unit we have covered is Marine Systems; coming in 2019 will be materials for units on Oceanography, Marine Biology and Ocean Issues and Resource Management.

Marine systems: connections and change

In this unit we will explore the ways marine science is used to describe and explain how marine ecosystems are formed and change due to a variety of natural and anthropogenic influences.
