The aim of the Centre for Nursing and Midwifery Research (CNMR) is to undertake research of relevance that is recognised nationally and internationally for its value and impact on practice, education and policy and generates evidence that translates to quality outcomes in healthcare.
Achieved through engagement and collaboration, beneficial outcomes address the needs of industry and key stakeholder groups, establishes international links with scholars and other partners, and profiles a strong successful cohort of Higher Degree Research students.
Projects are aligned with local, national and international nursing and midwifery priorities, health systems and health priorities, health policy and standards of care and education.
With a focus on health in regional, rural, remote and tropical contexts research emanating from the CNMR aims to consolidate and strengthen nursing and midwifery research through three research pillars: ‘Education for Excellence’, ‘Researching to Transform’ and ‘Engaging in Context’.
