JCU Nursing Teaching Sites

The Department of Nursing Sciences was founded in October 1989, accepting its first students in 1990. Nursing and Midwifery is the largest discipline within the College of Healthcare Sciences, Division of Tropical Health and Medicine. The undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing Science is offered in on-campus mode in Townsville and Cairns, mixed mode in Mackay and Mount Isa, and in distance learning mode. We offer a dual degree Bachelor of Nursing Science / Bachelor of Midwifery on-campus in Townsville.
