Vicki Darlington

Vicki's PhD project is on the Lawn Hill impact structure, located  250 km N of Mt Isa. The southeastern edge of the structure overlies one of the largest Zn-Pb-Ag mineral deposits in the world, the Century zinc deposit. This impact structure is exposed and is marked by a highly deformed and brecciated dolomite annulus with an outer diameter ~ 18 km. The focus of Vicki's research to date has been to undertake detailed structural analyses to clarify the origin of the deformation patterns within the dolomite.
