Awarded to the graduating student who has obtained the highest average weighted score in the College of Science and Engineering.

Division of Tropical Environments and Societies Distinguished Student Prize

Awarded to any student of exceptional merit, within the Division, who do not qualify for the award of a University medal but who have a first class honours degree and an excellent undergraduate weighted average score.

Value of the prize: $500.00

Science First-Year Prize

Awarded to the student, who in the opinion of the Teaching & Learning Committee, has been the most outstanding level 1 student in Science disciplines that year.

Value of the prize: $250.00

Townsville & District University Society Prize

Awarded to the student who, in the opinion of the Divisional Committee, has been the most outstanding level 1 student in the Division that year.

Chris Alexander Memorial Prizes for Marine Biology (Prize A)

Awarded to the student enrolled in the Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Marine Biology or Marine Biology (Advanced) who has demonstrated outstanding performance and overall ability in level 2 Marine Biology subjects and who has obtained an excellent mark in an invertebrate biology subject.

Chris Alexander Memorial Prizes for Marine Biology (Prize B)

Awarded to the student enrolled in the Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Marine Biology or Marine Biology (Advanced) who has demonstrated outstanding performance and overall ability in level 3 Marine Biology subjects and who obtained an excellence mark in an Invertebrate Biology subject.

College of Science & Engineering Prize for the Best BSc Honours Student

Awarded to the student of exceptional merit who has achieved Class I Honours in marine biology and aquaculture for their thesis and excellent scores for the other components of Honours.

Awarded to the Townsville campus students who obtain the highest pass in level 3 Marine Biology.
