The Bachelor of Education Services may be awarded to students exiting a Bachelor of Education prior to completing the requirements of that course, provided they meet the award requirements outlined below.

Course learning outcomes
The Bachelor of Educational Services is an exit degree from the Bachelor of Education and hence has the same Course Learning Outcomes. Students complete a 3 year Bachelor degree but are not eligible for full registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
On successful completion of the Bachelor of Educational Services, graduates will be able to:
72 credit points of study completed in an accredited Bachelor of Education degree at James Cook University comprising:
Maximum 27 credit points of relevant study passed at Level 1
Minimum 24 credit points of relevant study passed at Level 2
Minimum 21 credit points of relevant study passed at Levels 3 or 4

Students may apply for advanced standing for previous tertiary study in accordance with the Advanced Standing and Articulation policy and associated procedures.

Advanced standing will be granted only for studies completed in the 10 years prior to the commencement of this course.
Advanced standing gained for any subject shall be cancelled 20 years after the date of the examination upon which the advanced standing is based if, by then, the candidate has not completed this course.
