Course pre-requisites |
Completion of an AQF Level 7 Bachelor Degree that is registerable with the Queensland Veterinary Surgeons Board in a discipline cognate to the proposed area of research within the previous five years; and Achievement of an overall grade point average of 5.0 (i.e. credit average) across their bachelor degree, with credits or better in discipline-specific areas. |
Minimum English language proficiency requirements |
Applicants of non-English speaking backgrounds must meet the English language proficiency requirements of Band 3a – Schedule II of the JCU Admissions Policy. Students also need to take note that in accordance with the National Registration Board’s requirement, they must hold a valid IELTS (academic module) minimum score of 7.0 in all components within 2 years prior to applying for registration upon Graduation. |
Additional selection requirements |
Application for entry to the program is by approval of the College Dean, and interview. Quota restrictions on the number of honours places available may apply from time to time as determined by the College Dean. Students for honours who have graduated with a pass degree from this or another university or who graduated more than five years ago may be required to complete such coursework or assessment as the College Dean recommends. |
