Bachelor of Nursing Science (Pre Registration)

The Bachelor of Nursing Science has recently undergone a redesign with a new look curriculum which commenced in 2013. This degree will take 3 years to complete if studied full-time. During this time you will benefit from an increase in student study choices with 3 optional majors to choose from. They are:

  • Rural and Remote Health Major
  • Mental Health Major
  • Evidence Based Practice Major

Throughout the degree you will undertake residential and clinical placements and be involved in Professional Experience Workshops to better link your theory with practice. The study experience will culminate with a Capstone subject studied in your final year which includes a 30 day Professional Experience Placement followed by a return to the university for your final week of study. This will allow the best possible transition into the workforce.

Contact your Divisional Enrolment Team if you have applied for credit for previous study - your study plan will be different.

This is intended as a guide for planning your studies. For official course requirements and Award Rules, refer to the Course and Subject Handbook.
