Choose an option

No matter what your result is, it’s all about making the right choices.

Expected OP?  Make the right choice

  • You don’t need to change your preferences on you QTAC application – but you can.
  • Achieving an OP equal to or higher than the expected OP score for your chosen course is a good indication that your application will be competitive for an offer.
  • However, if you’ve changed your mind about your course options since you selected your preferences, JCU can assist you in making changes to get you back on the right path.

Higher OP?  Even more options

  • After celebrating your achievement, consider the fact you may now have more options open to you.
  • You don’t need to change your preferences. Achieving an OP equal to or higher than the expected OP score for your chosen course is a good indication that your application will be competitive for an offer.
  • However, with a higher OP you may find you have course options you hadn’t previously considered, or thought were out of reach. Speak with JCU about your goals and we can assist you in changing your preferences to your best advantage.

Lower OP?  Don’t stress, you have options

  • It happens, but it doesn’t mean your course or career choice is out of reach, so don’t panic.
  • Speak with JCU about your options. You may find you don’t even need to change your preferences.
  • If your preferences do need to change, there may be an alternate degree on offer which gives you similar career outcomes. Or there are pathway courses such as the Diploma of Higher Education, which can give you the step up into your preferred degree. JCU can help you through the QTAC change of preference process to ensure you’re on the right path for you.
