JCU has a wide range of resources available to assist you in the successful completion of your degree. For information that isn't listed here please email the Student Centre to contact one of their staff or visit the Student Homepage.

If you have a question, check out Ask Us – it’s a 24/7 online enquiry database with more than 1,000 commonly asked questions. The system has information on enrolments, support services, academic help, fees, scholarships, social events, calendars, IT support – everything.

Enrolment enquiries relating to study plans and courses may be directed to the Enrolment team at  The Enrolment team can provide administrative advice on any aspect of your degree, including:

  • Change your degree or specialisation
  • Subject selection and changes
  • Deferment of study
  • Return to study after taking leave
  • Credit for previous study / Cross institutional study
  • Complete or exit your degree

Connecting the university and community, the Bachelor of Arts Advisory Group advises on measures to support the prospects of Bachelor of Arts graduates. The focus is on developing students' skills and competencies with regard to the contemporary needs of relevant employment sectors. This includes making recommendations on the program of Industry Engaged Learning activities in the course in relation to workplace needs.

Equipment and facilities such as cameras and the Lighting Studio, are available for hire, mostly through the BookingPOINT portal. Before going out in the field on assignment, students need to be familiar with JCU's Work Health and Safety policies and procedures. Information on equipment use, safety, facility hire, Lighting Studio rules and equipment manuals is available on the Forms and manuals page.

There are a number of scholarships and prizes available for students considering or current JCU students. College of Arts, Society and Education have over 26 scholarships and more than fifty prizes that students can apply for.
