Post admission requirements
Q Fever immunisation:
Students must provide evidence of being immune to Q Fever within the first teaching period of their studies. Students who are not immune to Q fever will not be permitted on-site at some facilities and consequently this may result in their inability to complete the requirements of the course as accredited by the relevant professional accrediting body. If a student has not complied with the above requirement by the last day of the first teaching period of their studies, their enrolment will be terminated immediately.

Students may apply for a credit transfer for previous tertiary study or informal and non-formal learning in accordance with the Credit Transfer Procedure

Credit will be granted only for studies completed in the 10 years prior to the commencement of this course.
Credit gained for any subject shall be cancelled 16 years after the date of the examination upon which the credit is based if, by then, the candidate has not completed this course.

The Animal Sciences course at JCU is both challenging and rewarding. Having an agricultural science background, it has boosted my confidence and abilities to address key research and development agendas in animal health and production in my country, Papua New Guinea.
Graduate Diploma of Animal Sciences
A highlight of my course was learning about international veterinary and animal science practices through my colleagues and lecturers. I felt very supported by my lecturers throughout my learning, and was encouraged towards my career goal of developing Australia's northern livestock production.
