Fees and Dates

Get ready for James Cook University (JCU) by adding important dates into your calendar for campus Induction Days and Readiness Assessments.

Induction Day

The Diploma Induction is designed to prepare you for University life, where you will meet the Diploma staff and your fellow students.

What to bring:

  • A pen and notepad.
  • There are water bubblers available, please feel free to bring a refillable water bottle.
  • Lunch is not provided; please bring along your own lunch. There are also various eateries on campus where you can purchase food if you wish.

Official Welcome

The Diploma Official Welcome to JCU gives you the opportunity to meet our Student Mentors, join a guided tour of the campus and the Library, and meet our Diploma Academic Staff and join them for an interactive academic activity session.

  • A pizza lunch will be provided

Readiness Assessment

The Readiness Assessment is compulsory for Pathways students to complete prior to the semester commencing.

It is an online tool used to assess your readiness for academic study. This will have no bearing on your acceptance or enrolment to JCU.

If you cannot make one of the times below please email: pathways@jcu.edu.au arrange an alternative time.

Townsville Campus

  • Where: To be advised in 2018 (the Science Place), room 021
    • Allow approx. one hour to complete

Please note you must have accepted your offer to study in the Diploma to attend.
