Tinaroo Lake Resort is located in the picturesque Atherton Tablelands on the shores of Lake Tinaroo, in the small township of Tinaroo (pop.260). The closest retail centre is the town of Atherton (pop. 7000), approximately 20 kms and 20 minutes drive. The speaker sessions, conference dinner and social events will be be held in Tinaroo Lake Resorts's function centre, The Lodge, which is located on the grounds of the resort and adjacent to the resort accommodation.
Delegates who do not have their own transport, are advised to consider booking accommodation at the venue or at the nearby Lake Tinaroo Holiday Park. Delegates who chose accommodation options further afield, will need to organise their own transport as the conference venue does not have a shuttle service, and there is very little public transport available in the area.
As Tinaroo has very limited retail outlets (one small store with attached cafe) delegates who are staying in Tinaroo, and do not have their own transport, will be given an opportunity to purchase supplies in Atherton after their arrival.
Lunches, morning and afternoon teas will be provided for for conference delegates on Tuesday 25th, Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th at the conference venue.
The Welcome casual event on Monday 24th and the Conference Dinner Tuesday 25th are also included in the conference registration.
There will be optional dinners on Wednesday 27th and Thursday 27th (see the registration page)
Breakfasts are not included in the accommodation or registration fees. Delegates staying at Tinaroo Lake Resort can pre-order breakfast packs from the Resort or delegates can chose to self-cater as all the apartments have kitchens.
Lake Tinaroo Holiday Park and Tinaroo Lake Resort (Venue) are the closest accommodation options for delegates but there are other varied accommodation options available on the Atherton Tablelands and useful information is available on Tablelands Tourism .
