Annual General Meeting and Research Talks

EGRU Members and Colleagues were invited to attend the 2018 Annual General Meeting and Research Presentations which were held in the Endeavour Room, University Halls, James Cook University, Townsville campus, 7 December 2018, commencing at 10 am.

Although the AGM did not go ahead, we had a capacity crowd for the research presentations of research, industry and government geoscientists enjoying presentations, posters, and conversations about research results and future directions.

The presentations were headlined by EGRU Board Member Noel White, who provided valuable insights into developing and delivering research projects for industry. EGRU Directors, Paul Dirks and Carl Spandler, along with EGRU researcher Ioan Sanislav, provided delegates with an overview of recent and current research projects: in Queensland, in Australia, and internationally.

Conversations explored research directions related to deposit and commodity types, the application of innovative analytical techniques, and the potential for further industry collaboration.
