The Economic Geology Research Centre (EGRU), at James Cook University, is hosting the fourth in the series of workshops on the Mineral Systems of the Mount Isa Inlier, in Mount Isa.  
This workshop aims to bring together academia, industry and government organisations to discuss topics of interest relevant to exploration in the Mount Isa region.

This workshop will include:

  • 1.5 days of  face-to-face technical sessions*
    • presentations by invited speakers
  • 0.5 day viewing of drill core from various deposits in the region, at the John Campbell Miles Drill Core Storage Facility (Mount Isa Core Library)

*Note: The workshop numbers will be limited by the current COVID venue space restrictions applicable to the Verona Hotel.
This workshop will not be available  online.

* Delegates can select to attend one or both technical days

Included in the registration fees:

  • Transport to/from the venue to the Mount Isa Core Facility, if required

  • Airfares to/from Mount Isa
  • Transport to/from Mount Isa Airport
  • Breakfast all days and dinner  (except social event Tuesday 11th May)

Delegate Registration 

EGRU reserves the right to cancel or reschedule  the Mineral Systems of the Mount Isa Inlier workshop if the minimum numbers required for the workshop to go ahead, are not registered by:

  • Friday 02 April 2021

If a delegate cancels a registration for the workshop  there will be a full refund of the registration fees for cancellations on or before:

  • Friday 16 April 2021

Fees will not be refunded after Friday 16 April 2021, but the registration fee can be transferred to an alternative delegate.

Delegate Cancellation due to COVID Restrictions

If you are required to cancel your registration due to COVID restrictions, such as border closures, please email judith.botting@jcu.edu.au as soon as possible.

EGRU is not responsible for cancellation or re-booking fees incurred by registrants, that are imposed by airlines, accommodation venues or other entities as a result of the any workshops being cancelled or rescheduled.
