Technology and Partnerships: Enabling Management of Marine Resources for the 21st Century
Rapidly advancing technologies are enabling us to answer management questions that weren’t possible in the past. A key challenge is to match specific questions with the right technology, and to translate the outputs into actionable knowledge. This presentation explores some of the technologies and how we rethink of the way we do marine science and the way science interacts with management.
Presented by Marcus Sheaves
Community-driven research: you can do it!
Research is often owned and conducted by large and remote research institutions. Yet small-scale locally-driven and locally-owned research can change the way we work day-to-day and create work value. Quality research produces better value. Anyone can gain research skills if they want to.
