COVID-19 and Children Webinar: Going back to school

Online

When: 14 May 2020, 7pm -- 8pm

Where: Online

Is it safe for children to go back to school? Are children carriers of COVID-19? What’s an underlying health condition? Can they hug family members or their grandparents?

Returning to school is a big step and you may have a lot of questions you would like to speak to someone about. Join us for a 60-minute conversation with two leading paediatricians, and find out about the latest research on the health impact of COVID-19 on children. Practical strategies on how to keep children safe from COVID-19 at school, at home and in the community will be shared, including how to best manage interactions with grandparents. This is your chance to ask questions and receive answers live on the night.

Presented by:

  • Dr Vanaja Sabesan - Paediatrician and Director of Paediatric Education at Townsville University Hospital, and Adjunct Senior Lecturer, College of Medicine & Dentistry, James Cook University.
  • Dr Andrew White - Paediatrician and Adjunct Associate Professor, College of Medicine & Dentistry, James Cook University.
  • Associate Professor Peta-Ann Teague - Director of GP Training, James Cook University.
