Research Immersion Program
Where: At James Cook University
Building 97 - Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences.., Townsville Campus
Every day the news is filled with issues facing our Australian health system. How can we be involved?
Australian Biomedical scientists are at the edge of medical research, whether that’s Coronavirus vaccine development or creation of the Gardasil vaccine to keep us safe from cervical cancer, through to developing and testing new drugs isolated from the tropical rainforests or the depths of the oceans.
Come and meet some of our dynamic scientists and learn from them and with them, during a week-long opportunity to get up close and personal with the latest biomedical research.
The Research Immersion Program is led by the discipline of Biomedicine at James Cook University and provides a unique opportunity for senior high school students in the Townsville and northern Queensland Region to come and be involved in cutting edge scientific research.
The program will run from 9am -4pm.
