Manager Skills Series (MSS)

The Organisational Development and Equity team in HR are excited to launch the first tranche of the Manager Skills Series (MSS). The MSS consists of a series of modular workshops aimed to:
- Educate people managers on organisational policy and practice
- Strengthen managers capacity to manage themselves and their people
- Communicate the University’s expectations of managers
The first tranche of courses to be released in the series are:
- Creating a Positive Workplace Culture – First workshop 24 March
- Understanding and Managing Behaviour – First workshop 14 April
- Having Conversations That Matter – First workshop 19 May
Further information about the above courses, including 2021 workshop dates and course outlines can be found in the handbook. Successfully piloted in 2020, these courses received very positive feedback from the JCU managers that attended.
Workshop dates for 2021 are now available for registration via My HR Online.
