Health Coaching for Parents
Where: JCU Performance Science Hub, Cowboys High-Performance Centre, Level 2, 26 Graham Murray Place, Townsville
A parent's job is never done and when you have a sporting child, the list of roles increases.
Join JCU's one-day practical workshop exploring massage, workload management, simple strapping techniques and opportunities to learn more about the role that good nutrition, hydration, rest and recovery, play in your child's sporting life.
Learn from experienced experts who are leaders in the sport and exercise field, with the workshop facilitated by:
- Wade Sinclair, Senior Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Science at James Cook University
- Azra Rantucci, Associate Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Science at James Cook University
- Jonathan Crawley, APA Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist at Northern Queensland Physiotherapy Centre, and current Physiotherapist for the North Queensland Cowboys.
The workshop will take place at the state-of-the-art JCU Performance Science Hub, located at the Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville.
WHO CAN ATTEND?
This workshop is open to parents of children who participate in competitive sports and who wish to learn practical and hands-on techniques and skills to assist and support their child in their sports training.
REFRESHMENTS: Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided.
