Get certainty on your future

JCU guarantees entry to a majority of courses for current year 12 applicants based on the final Overall Position (OP) result.

OP 1–5 recipients are guaranteed entry into most JCU course with all subject prerequisites waived.

Applicants awarded an OP 6–12 will be guaranteed entry into most JCU courses, though applicants must meet the course subject prerequisites. Talk to a JCU Advisor to find out more.

Programs excluded from the Guaranteed Admission Plan include:

  • Bachelor of Advanced Science
  • Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education)
  • Bachelor of Education (Primary)
  • Bachelor of Education (Secondary)
  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery
  • Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery
  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science
  • Bachelor of Nursing Science (Pre-Registration)
  • Bachelor of Nursing Science - Bachelor of Midwifery
  • Bachelor of Clinical Science
  • Bachelor of Psychological (Honours)

Many health science and science courses have prerequisites of Queensland Year 12 Chemistry and/or Maths. If you are missing prerequisites you may be able to complete a JCU preparatory or bridging subject to meet the requirements of your preferred degree.
